“I owe QM a lot,” writes reader David Erlam, who carved his first spoon recently, “for showing me how to sharpen knives, and especially @marymaywoodcarving for her article on sharpening gouges. Thanks for giving me the inspiration to get started.”
@gerwynllewelynbreeze shows readers soon his sharpening tip, with the blade swept down vertically for honing. “The jig is infinitely adjustable by inserting wedges behind the stone or by tilting the jig in the vice.”
@made_in_the_marches levelling a housing for the 60s retro shelf unit in QM05
Tim @thewirelesswoodworker Brown will be showing how he makes an Osaka Castle Joint in a QM soon
QM reader Fred Fisher thanks Peter Hindle of Ashem Crafts for rounders to make Windsor chairs, small ones for grandchildren. “I am indebted to Jack Hill, sadly no longer with us for his excellent chairmaking course at @westdeancollege .”
